Dear James,

For the past two weeks, a growing number of activists have been camped out in Liberty Plaza in New York, under the banner of Occupy Wall Street.

While not a single banker has been arrested for crimes leading to the financial collapse, over 1,000 Occupy Wall Street protesters have been arrested in the past three weeks. Meanwhile, thousands have joined for marches, and similar actions have sprung up all over the country.

This inspiring protest is acting on the sentiments that so many of us feel — that the growing power of corporations and banks threaten the fundamental elements of justice and equality in our economy and our society as a whole.

The message is starting to break through, and tomorrow you can help it grow bigger. Thousands of people will join a solidarity march in front of City Hall in New York City. Can you be there?

Their occupation of Wall Street has inspired a nationwide movement in the spirit of Wisconsin. Unsurprisingly, there has been a powerful effort to silence the voices of brave activists who are using both their right to peaceful public assembly and tactics of nonviolent civil disobedience to call attention to the fact that the government bailed out the wealthiest Americans but have done little to help middle and working class Americans who have lost their jobs and had their homes foreclosed on.

Organizers have identified this as a solidarity march and NOT a civil disobedience action. It is an opportunity to stand with those who are bravely camped out in the cold and the rain, to help them build momentum to maintain their peaceful act, and to make sure their voice is not drowned out or silenced.

Join the solidarity march tomorrow. Click here for more details.

Thank you for standing with Occupy Wall Street in calling for accountability for Wall Street and justice and equality for all of us.
