SEIU wants you to give the Senate a piece of your mind (Personally, I have none to spare.)

Friend,

Thanks and congrats to all who helped flood the U.S. Senate with phone calls yesterday! The good news is that a majority of Senators voted last night to move forward with the American Jobs Act. The bad news is the bill failed to get the 60 votes needed to overcome a Republican filibuster.

Let the U.S. Senate know what you think by signing this petition today.

Clearly last night's vote was a huge victory for the millionaires who would have had to pay a modest surtax to fund new job creation, and a devastating loss for the millions of unemployed in America who are desperately looking for work.

The Senate may take another vote on the American Jobs Act in the future. Even if they don't, we need to keep pushing our Senators to create jobs instead of catering to the interests of corporations and the super-rich.

That's why you should take a few seconds to sign this petition to the U.S. Senate.

While you're at it, take a look at the photos posted by hundreds of people from around the country - and consider uploading a photo of your own. With these pictures of crumbling roads and bridges, blighted neighborhoods, rundown schools, and other "work that needs doing," we're sending Congress a clear message to put America back to work meeting our infrastructure, education, healthcare, transportation and clean energy needs.

This is no time to back down. Let's keep up the fight for good jobs now!

In solidarity,

Joyce Moscato
