Summit on Resilience: Securing our Future through Public-Private Partnerships
Kristin Darken - November 02, 2011 08:12

To UAPI Members, The May, 2010 National Security Strategy seeks to enhance the nation’s resilience—the ability to adapt to changing conditions and prepare for, withstand, and rapidly recover from disruption—through increased public-private partnerships. On January 11, 2012 Pace University (located 4 blocks from the World Trade Center site), a UAPI member University, will host a major conference entitled a “Summit on Resilience: Securing our Future through Public-Private Partnerships.” Hosted in collaboration with the Naval Postgraduate School’s Center for Homeland Defense and Security, the summit will focus on understanding the challenges of resilience, such as rebuilding after a natural disaster or terrorist attack and on how best to improve public-private partnerships. Our keynote speaker will be Tom Ridge, our first Secretary of Homeland Security. I encourage you to visit our web site and register early.
