A webnar on impacting the at-risk student

Introducing a New Webinar:
The New At Risk Student:
Impacting Student Retention and Success

Wednesday, Nov 30th - 2 pm (ET)

During the last three decades higher education has created numerous programs and activities designed to work with students that colleges and universities have identified as “at-risk”. Previously these programs have centered on college readiness and preparedness, economic issues and institutional climate and fit.

Today’s at-risk student may bring more to campus than financial and academic challenges. It is time to expand the definition of “at-risk” to include psychosocial issues such as: students and parents holding unrealistic expectations of the collegiate experience, diminished accountability in the educational process and an underdeveloped work ethic.

Join our expert presenters as they review the changing role higher education plays in reframing the expectations of our students and parents. Special attention will be given to the importance of generating solutions or strategies to deal with the new climate of relaxed responsibility and accepted underachievement on campuses.
