Dear Jim,
We deserve a country where our elected officials are not bought and paid for by big corporations.
But the Citizens United vs. FEC Supreme Court decision overturned over a century of precedent and opened the floodgates for unlimited amounts of corporate money to flow into our political system.
The third anniversary of Citizens United is on Monday, so this next week is a perfect time to put the spotlight on the need to overturn this horrible Supreme Court decision and stop the corrupting influence of corporate cash in our elections.
We're joining with Public Citizen, People for the American Way and other like-minded organizations that have put together Citizens United anniversary events across the country. The one closest to you is in Philadelphia. Can you attend?
What: Philadelphia Rally for Money Out, Voters In!
When: Friday, January 18 (12pm to 1pm)
Where: LOVE Park - between 15th and 16th and Arch and JFK Blvd, Philadelphia, PA 19103

Please click here to RSVP.
In the last year, more than 200 local Citizens United resolutions passed and ten states called for a constitutional amendment to overturn it. More than 125 members of Congress, President Obama and a total of over 2 million petition signers have called for a constitutional amendment to overturn Citizens United.
We are moving ahead quickly for a constitutional amendment, but have a way to go.
The third anniversary of the ruling presents an exciting opportunity for us to bring our message to hundreds of thousands more people, but we need you to help make it a success.
