A former student of mine makes good in New Jersey

Congratulations, Bruce:

Bruce H. Bergen, Township Attorney for the Township of Springfield was recently appointed as a Trustee of the Board of Directors of the New Jersey Institute of Local Government Attorneys, the state-wide municipal attorney organization affiliated with the New Jersey League of Municipalities.
He will continue as an Associate Editor of the Local Government Law Review, published quarterly by that organization, a position he has held for the past five years. In 2005, Bergen was designated a Diplomate in New Jersey Local Government Law.
Bergen, a Springfield resident and partner in the Cranford law firm of Krevsky, Silber & Bergen, has been Township Attorney for Springfield for 17 of the past 18 years. In 2010 he served as attorney to the Springfield Board of Health, as he previously did in 1987 and in 1993 he was the Springfield Rent Leveling Board attorney. In the past, Bergen has also been Special Counsel to the Township of Hillside.
In addition to this position, in 2010 Bergen was appointed by the New Jersey Supreme Court to a second term as a member of the District XII (Union County) Attorney Ethics Committee, where he served as Chairman in 2009-2010. He is also the Board Chairman of Central Jersey Legal Services, which provides free civil legal representation to eligible residents of Union, Middlesex and Mercer counties.
