Bubble gum man appeals jail term

A magistrate "lost it" when he jailed a man for 30 days for blowing bubble gum in his court, a judge has been told.
Mirza Zukanovic found himself in a sticky situation when he was charged with contempt and sentenced to 30 days' jail for blowing a bubble in front of magistrate Rodney Crisp.
Zukanovic spent 12 hours in custody before the Victorian Supreme Court granted him bail following an appeal by his lawyers.

On Tuesday, he was back before a Victorian Supreme Court judge seeking a review of the magistrate's decision.
