Boston College officials say they're examining a subpoena from federal prosecutors who are reportedly seeking confidential interviews of two members of the Provisional Irish Republican Army collected in the 1990s as part of an oral history project about the conflict in Northern Ireland.

The article gows on to state that one of the subjects is still alive and both ere promised the material would be kept confidential until they were dead. Well, perhaps this is an example of not making a promise you can't legally guarantee.
