May 16, 2011

Colleagues-

I’m writing to encourage you to attend the Society for College and University Planning's (SCUP) 46th Annual, International Conference and Idea Marketplace taking place July 23–27, 2011, in National Harbor, MD, at the Gaylord National Hotel. SCUP’s annual, international conference attracts college and university leaders from a wide range of institutions both nationally and internationally.

This year’s conference will address a wide range of issues and topics that are particularly interesting to academic leaders in all types of colleges and universities.

Topics discussed will include:

Institutional decision-making processes
Institutional development/advancement
Leadership/leadership succession
Governing board relationships
Human resources
Legislative update and
Planning
The plenary and concurrent sessions focusing on these issues are designed to provide tangible takeaways that will be of use to attendees in their home institutions. The conference also provides an outstanding opportunity for sharing successes, lessons learned, and innovative ideas and concepts.

I hope you will consider attending our conference—to learn more about the conference program, please visit: www.scup.org/page/annualconf/46/
