Are there attorneys new to NACUA and higher education law in your office? Invite them to explore opportunities for attorneys new to higher education law and to NACUA at the 2011 Workshop for Lawyers New to Higher Education that will be held from June 25-26, in conjunction with our Annual Conference at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in San Francisco.

This comprehensive and intensive workshop provides lawyers new to higher education law with an orientation into key areas of practice, including:

* Student Discipline

* Federal Discrimination Laws

* Faculty Issues and Concerns

* FERPA and the Clery Act

* College Athletics

Taught by skilled and accomplished NACUA members, this foundation-building workshop is designed to bring attorneys up to speed whether they are a recent law school graduate or an experienced lawyer advising colleges and universities for the first time. Lawyers will learn from the experts, meet new NACUA members and get their questions answered.

Registration is only $185.00 for members. In addition to the education sessions, the registration fee includes two continental breakfasts, two luncheons, and a networking reception. Attendees will also receive a complimentary copy of the NACUA Handbook for Lawyers New to Higher Education CD-ROM, an invaluable resource for all higher education attorneys.

We encourage you to invite the attorneys in your office that you believe would benefit from this program. For more information or to register click here.

If you have any questions, please contact Josh Dermott at jld@nacua.org. We look forward to seeing you in San Francisco!
