I don't know who scares me more, Snowden or the NSA. But this is no way to balance national security and personal liberties.

Meanwhile Congress is complaining --- again --- that CIA documents have disappeared from the oversight committee's  computers.  

Some would say the intelligence community has been out of control for decades.  Others would add that Kennedy died for trying to reign it in.

It missed 9/11… lied about WMDs in Iraq… what's it all really worth in the great balance with our civil liberties?

In our democracy, which is really now a plutocracy, what will be the role of the CIA and NSA going forward.  The Internet may be the last bastion of unfettered free speech.  Snowden may have a point but is his way of bringing out the threats the only way?
