Scalia says the government is prepared to intern Americans again, if necessary

In a recent speech the SCOTUS conservative harked back to the WWII interning of Japanese Americans, most of whom lost everything.  He noted that the Supreme COurt blessed the action, which was ordered by future SCOTUS liberal Earl Warren.

“Well, of course Korematsu was wrong. And I think we have repudiated it in a later case,” Scalia said, before saying this:
“But you are kidding yourself if you think the same thing will not happen again…That’s what happens. It was wrong, but I would not be surprised to see it happen again, in time of war. It’s no justification, but it is the reality.”

This may go a long way in explaining Scalia's majority opinion in the decision several years ago that interpreted the Second AMendment in favor of individual possession of firearms.
