We need the jobs and we need the pipeline

Dear Jim Castagnera,
Should we let politics stand in the way of 42,000 jobs and the ability to increase our energy security?
"...the decision on whether the [Keystone XL Pipeline's] construction should happen was a political one and not a scientific one." That's President Obama's former Energy Secretary, Steven Chu, admitting that the only thing holding up the Keystone XL Pipeline is politics.
Let the president know that jobs and energy security should come before politics!
72% of the American people want to see it built. There's strong bipartisan support in Congress for it. There have been five thorough studies on it. The president has had five years to examine it in detail.
Tell the president that the time for delay is over—it's time to build!
Let's hold President Obama to his word when he said, "I will act on my own to slash bureaucracy and streamline the permitting process for key projects so we can get more construction workers on the job." Let's remind him that this key project is too important to be held up by politics!

Tell President Obama to approve the Keystone XL pipeline today!
Sincerely,
Energy Citizens
