NAFSA says: Be an advocate for international education

This event spans two days and comprises an integrated set of NAFSA-led advocacy training and practice activities, anchored by visits to each participant's congressional delegation on Capitol Hill.

Attend NAFSA Advocacy Day to:

* Learn to develop an effective advocacy strategy to inform and persuade representatives about the impact of international education across campuses and communities.

* Gain insights into the workings of a congressional office.

* Hear about current political trends as they relate to NAFSA's
legislative priorities.

* Share information with your representative and senators
about the impact of international education on your campus and
local community.

"Advocacy Day was training day on the term 'advocacy,' with a visit to Capitol Hill as the applied practicum! It was an amazing, hands-on program that helped me become a change-agent. Do it; you'll be a better international educator and citizen for it."
Brett Reichert, Clayton State University

View the 2012 Advocacy Day Schedule and register by February 10 to take advantage of early-bird savings. Registration will be limited to 125 participants. Don't delay!
