New website for Homeland Security educators at the Naval Postgraduate School

UAPI Partners: At our annual summit a couple of weeks ago, we officially unveiled our new University and Agency Partnership Initiative website. For those of you that could not make the event, we are pleased to provide you with notice about the new site located at www.uapi.us. Our intent with this website is to make access to our materials, and those that many of you have agreed to share, as simple as possible. You can directly access material from our main page in a variety of ways, to include:

By media type (such as printed syllabi or videos);
By format;
By tag or subject, such as terrorism or critical infrastructure.
We also have made the discussion forums a featured part of the main page, making it easier to see what the latest discussion topics are, news on the latest events, and direct access to our job support forums.

For the initiation of this new site, we have subscribed all UAPI individual members to the discussion forums. If you do not wish to be subscribed to a particular discussion topic, simply click the link at the bottom of the email.

I’d like to take this opportunity to ask you to please review the information on your institutions. Many of your schools are not listed, and many have outdated links to your websites. If you do find errors or wish to add your institution and links, please send an email to techsupport@chds.us and we’ll take care of it. Additionally, you’ll notice that we have a featured story on our main page about one of our long-standing partners, the University of Connecticut. Since one of our goals is to continue to build our community, we will be rotating feature stories about our partner institutions. If you wish to get in the queue to be a featured partner, please let me know (do so by sending me an email at sbsupins@nps.edu - don’t reply to this post as it will go to all subscribers). When I say this is “our” site - I mean our collective community - not just CHDS.

Finally, as you use the new site, please let us know what you think. Kudos and constructive criticism are always welcome! Thanks and regards,

Stan Supinski Director, University and Agency Partnership Initiative
