Everybody’s Favorite – The Year in Review

The Institute kicks off with the always popular Year in Review. Presented by management lawyer Michael J. Ossip and plaintiff’s counsel Richard T. Seymour, you can count on being updated on the significant developments of the year.

Get Invaluable Practice Tips from the Judges

On Thursday morning, an amazing panel of federal judges will present The Judges Speak. Nothing compares to learning the "ins and outs" of employment litigation directly from the judges who hear your cases. We are honored to have on this panel, the Honorable Stewart Dalzell, the Honorable Paul S. Diamond, and the Honorable Norma L. Shapiro.

Watch and Listen to an Appellate Court Oral Argument

What an opportunity! Watch the style and content of oral arguments on the appeal of an employment case before a panel of three judges. Our distinguished panel of judges includes the Honorable D. Brooks Smith, the Honorable Gene E.K. Pratter and the Honorable Louis H. Pollak. Oral argument will be followed by comments and questions to the court and advocates.

You'll Explore New Ideas and Techniques for Evaluating an Employment Case

In super workshop "The 360 Degree Evaluation of an Employment Case", Stephen G. Console moderates a lively panel which includes the Honorable Lynne A. Sitarski of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of PA, Kristine Grady Derewicz and Celia M. Joseph.

Judge Mark Bennett Makes a Return Visit – in Two Special Sessions

We are pleased to welcome back to the Institute the Honorable Mark W. Bennett, U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Iowa, who will present a fascinating session on "The Ultimate Zen of Jury Selection: Converting Novices to Virtuoso Zen Masters in 60 Minutes."

And, you'll have a second opportunity to learn from Judge Bennett in our summary judgment workshop. Watch and learn as management lawyer Jeffrey I. Pasek and plaintiff's lawyer Samuel J. Cordes argue a mock summary judgment motion before Judge Bennett.
