The Modern Language Association meets in balmy Chicago next week. Some want to boycott Israel, the same way the American Studies Association did last month.

A colleague of mine tells me, "It's the same gang of ***holes" who hijacked the ASA in December.

Ah, yes, all the academic freedom you want… so long as you are PC!
