New media make strange bedfellows

Amazon's founder is buying the Washington Post.
Does he, like Hearst as a young millionaire, want a newspaper as a personal toy?  Whatever... this means that Kaplan, the for-profit college that carried the newspaper financially for decades, will now be the flagship firm of the Washington Post Company, sans the Washington Post.  Go figure.
