I seldom agree with the guy who wrote this piece.  But I have to agree that North America has a chance for energy independence.  How?

We must exploit our fossil fuels: oil from sands and shales; natural gas from shale; coal reserves.  Sorry, Congressman Rush Holt.  You may a rocket scientist, but I can't agree that a prospect of aggravating climate change trumps an opportunity to wean ourselves off of Middle Eastern oil dependence.
