Governor Corbett's broken promises

Pennsylvania Democratic Party

James Ottavio,
We were all there when he did it.
In 2010, Governor Tom Corbett traveled the state, making promises left, right and center – but mostly right. After he was elected, he took less than one day in office to start breaking them.
After nearly four years, a list of Corbett’s broken promises could stretch from the Governor’s Mansion to the Harrisburg Hilton (where he raised campaign cash from firms that won government contracts).
That’s why we launched the Corbett Project. We plan on making sure every voter in Pennsylvania knows about Corbett’s broken promises. We’ve already highlighted some doozies and we want to know which you think is Corbett’s worst.
Click below to automatically cast your vote for Corbett's worst broken promise:
Promise: Deliver a reform plan on day onePromise: Eliminate WAMS and discretionary funds
Promise: End political gifts by bidders for state contractsPromise: Cut the size of government and reduce spending
When Corbett does take action, he governs from the far right – slashing education, neglecting job creation and blocking equality. And his cronyism only serves himself and his big-money friends.
Corbett’s broken promises and ideological agenda make it clear: He doesn’t represent us. Thank you for helping us build the campaign to restore real leadership to Harrisburg.
Thanks,
PA Dems
