June 26, 1963: Did JFK really say he was a jelly donut?

On this date 50 years ago, President Kennedy told a massive audience in Berlin --- in his inimitable German --- "I am a Berliner."  Or, according to some trained ears, what he really inadvertently said was, "I am a jelly donut."
