Written testimonies of CBP and ICE for a June 27 House Oversight and Government Reform Subcommittee on National Security hearing titled “Border Security Oversight: Identifying and Responding to Current Threats”

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Border Patrol Chief Michael Fisher and  Office of Field Operations Acting Assistant Commissioner David Murphy address (a) the role of CBP in securing America’s borders, a role shared with federal, state, local, tribal, and international partners, and (b) how border security has changed over the past ten years, not only in terms of resources, infrastructure, and operations, but also in how the state of an ever-changing border environment is assessed and measured.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Enforcement and Removal Operations Executive Associate Director Thomas Homan addresses the significant progress ICE and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security has made to secure the border.
