The Arab world on fire?

The successful ousting of Egypt's ancient dictator seems to have inspired unrest
throughout the Middle East from Iran (OK, not Arab) to Bahrain. Wouldn't it be something if democracy actually did break out in that part of the world? Would we be forced to reassess the impact of the Iraqi War? Or would we simply shrug and call it a coincidence... just a Reagan had nothing to do with the downfall of the Soviet Union?

Over lunch yesterday, a colleague made an interesting, if tangential point:He suggested that higher education is like the Egyptian dictatorship... set in its ways and ripe for revolution.
