Forum on Education Abroad: Annual Conference and a Webnar

Annual Conference Expands

Thanks to the support of our growing membership, and to the conference committees’ work in developing excellent themes and sessions, the Forum’s annual conference has seen unprecedented growth over the past three years. The conference has become the field’s largest event focused exclusively on education abroad.

As the conference returns to the historic Boston Park Plaza Hotel, many changes have been made in order to accommodate the largest Forum conference ever. These include:

· More sessions. Most timeslots will feature 10 concurrent sessions focusing on a wide range of education abroad topics and issues.

· More space. All of the available hotel space will be devoted to the Forum conference, providing more rooms in which to hold sessions, and expanded meal and exhibit space.

· More precise room assignments. All attendees have been surveyed to indicate which sessions they are likely to attend, allowing the Forum to assign sessions to rooms with the most appropriate seating capacity.

· More space for meals. Each meal has been carefully planned to provide easy, efficient access during meals. Most dining events will feature table service. A special lunch on Thursday, April 7 will feature “lunchtime conversations” where participants can take lunches to pre-arranged meetings and discussions, or simply network with colleagues and friends.

· Expanded registration area. The registration area has been doubled in size.
