As Sandusky serves his time, Spanier --- facing a criminal trial --- fights back.

He has sued the Freeh firm for defamation with regard to its report, which accused him of indifference to the plight of abused children.

Now it's being reported that Spanier has a cadre of supporters --- faculty, lawyers, bloggers, and alumni --- who are rallying to his cause, claiming that the facts don't support the allegations of indifference and cover-up.  A recent magazine profile has suggested that the case against him is shaky, if not flawed.
