An adjunct by any other name is still an adjunct.

In USCG OCS, those of us who had been plucked out of enlisted status used to say, "You can take the enlisted man out of the rank but you can't take the rank out of the enlisted man."

A weed by any other name will never be a rose.  (But the weeds can form a weeds' union!)
