A new line of work for notary publics?

California's legislators have a  "yes means yes" law.  How will people prove that the "yes" happened? Do I exchange text messages with my date?

Well, I suppose if Howard Cosell could be present at Woody Allen's wedding night in "Bananas," having a notary present on a date is equally possible.
