As November nears, even members of Obama's own party don't support his liberal views on illegal immigration.

The American public at large no longer favors amnesty or an open door. Times have changed and policy needs to change with it.

This is a dilemma for both parties. The GOP is right that we need to guard our borders and enforce our laws. But this alienates Hispanics.

Obama wants to give everybody amnesty and keep the kids in the states. But his Congressional colleagues in non-Hispanic districts and states can't get reelected on that platform plank.
