No health insurance if you're raped?

Apparently not in Michigan… at least not to abort the child.

Jim, I don’t know anyone who thinks that women should have to pay extra for a health insurance plan that covers rape. Yet that’s exactly what Michigan Republicans are now requiring of women in their state. The Republican-led legislature just passed a bill restricting most health insurance plans from covering abortion – even in the case of rape or incest. If they want to be covered, women will have to pay out of pocket for “rape insurance.” Fortunately, our Democratic candidate Mark Schauer is leading the fight against this outrageous attack on women. We’re helping Mark demand that Republicans repeal this monstrosity of a bill. Are you with us?
