"Maggie in the Underworld" picks up where "Ned..." left off.  Freelance journalist Maggie Mulhearn gets pulled into an effort by her friend and sometime-researcher Eddie Ireland to rescue Dalinda Garcia, a young Latina victim of human trafficking.  Maggie gets involved on several levels: a concerned human being... a writer hungry for another Pulitzer Prize... and as Dalinda's lover.

Part One, which can be accessed via the link below, takes place in Philadelphia and ends with Maggie on a tramp steamer headed for Shanghai.
