The Sharing Economy

Perhaps nothing is more emblematic of how America has changed since 2008 than the rise of the so-called Sharing Economy: using new website services, Americans are competing with hotels and restaurants, renting out their apartments and homes, or rooms therein, and serving meals to travels passing through town.

I am reminded of "Forrest Gump."  Momma rented rooms to travelers.  "That's how we got moneee."  It's also reminiscent of the Great Depression era.
