The Forum on Education Abroad is pleased to announce a workshop to be held in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on October 4th in conjunction with the 2012 Pennsylvania Council on International Education (PaCIE) Conference. This workshop is designed to provide expert training in the Standards of Good Practice for Education Abroadwith a focus on Standard 8: Health, Safety, Security and Risk Management.
This workshop is designed to assist participants in developing and improving programs in accordance with the Forum’s Standards of Good Practice focusing specifically on issues surrounding health and safety.The workshop will be highly interactive and participants will closely examine the Standards as they explore the importance of managing stakeholder expectations, discuss different aspects of handling common health and safety concerns, and understand how the Standards of Good Practice support program management and goals.
