Weinergate?

WeinergateBy Daryl Cagle | June 2nd, 2011 |
It’s been an odd spectacle watching news coverage of New York Rep. Anthony Weiner, as he fields questions about a lewd photograph that was sent from his Twitter account to a 21-year-old college student. Weiner claims his Twitter account was hacked, but when asked directly whether the bulging boxers in question were his, Weiner said that he couldn’t say “with certitude” that it wasn’t.

Weiner on President’s Decision to Withhold Postmortem Photos of Bin Laden
“We Shouldn’t Release Photos to Satisfy the
Morbid Curiosity of Conspiracy Theorists”
Washington, DC – Today, following news that President Barack Obama will withhold post-mortem photos of Osama Bin Laden, Rep. Anthony D. Weiner (D – Queens and Brooklyn) released the following statement:

“The President did the right thing – Osama bin Laden is dead. Period. We shouldn’t release photos of his body just to satisfy the morbid curiosity of conspiracy theorists.”

“With Public Enemy #1 finally gone, we should instead focus on coming together as a country. That is why today I look forward to joining the President, heroic first responders and their friends and families as we honor those who lost their lives on September 11th.”

What irony: Now Americans' morbid curiosity is focused on whether they saw the congressman in his BVDs or not. And he ain't saying.
