How much privacy are celebrities entitled to enjoy?

Recently, Britain's Prince William and his wife were photographed on a private beach in the south of France, where she was sunbathing topless.  The couple sued and kept the pictures out of the paper.  But by then , the shots were on the internet.

At least one publication claimed to have shots of her "el buffo."
