Commentator compares Romney and Ryan to Used Car Salesmen
Starting in high school and continuing for a total of eighteen years, I
was involved in debate competitions, as a participant and then as a
coach. In that time, I thought I had seen everything. I have to admit,
however, that the reaction to last week’s first Presidential debate—in
which the broad majority of commentators declared Mitt Romney the clear
winner, even though he (in Jon Stewart’s words) obviously “lied his a**
off”—took me by surprise.
