SEVIS II at the NAFSA 2012 Annual Conference May 29 - May 31, 2012
The Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) will once again be present at the Association of International Educators (NAFSA) Annual Conference. In addition to sharing booth space with the Department of Homeland Security, SEVP will provide attendees with an opportunity to preview Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) II functionality via hour-long demonstrations in the vendor hall. During each session, the SEVIS II team will take audience members through SEVIS II scenarios developed through the requirements visualization process. This will allow SEVIS users to preview how they will interact with SEVIS II and to ask questions related to processes and system requirements. The SEVP booth allows for approximately 30 attendees per session. No advance registration is necessary for these sessions. Space is the only limit on attendance. The SEVIS II demonstrations will take place on May 29, May 30 and May 31, 2012. For more information, please visit the SEVP outreach page and download the complete schedule.
In addition to live demonstrations, SEVP will have six laptop workstations available where users can walk through selected SEVIS II scenarios on their own. There will be scenarios for both schools (F and M students) and programs (J exchange visitors). The self-guided tutorials will be available on a first-come, first-served basis while the vendor hall is open.
Finally, SEVP will be hosting a SEVIS II monthly webinar series beginning in summer 2012. The free webinar series will focus on demonstrating SEVIS II functionality and answering questions from stakeholders. For more information on webinar dates and registration, please visit the SEVP Webinar page.
