Maybe they should have used crash test dummies ?

A Shanghai condom manufacturer is advertising for "lively and good looking women" to work as condom testers.  "Female" is a bona fide occupational qualification for this position.  The company says it already has enough men on the other side of the testing equation.  (I'll just bet it does.)

Law Prof Jonathan Turley asks, is this prostitution?

He suggests that at least in the US it very well might be, citing a standard American common-law definition:

a) A person commits an offense if he knowingly:
(1) offers to engage, agrees to engage, or engages in sexual conduct for a fee; or
(2) solicits another in a public place to engage with him in sexual conduct for hire.

The fee in this case is reportedly pretty good, even by US standards: $480 a day.

But, he continues, what about people who do "it"on film.  They are porn stars, not prostitutes.

Hmm... is a puzzlement.
