Dear James Ottavio,Do you remember how, when the Republicans were passing the Voter ID law in Harrisburg, they spent hours talking about how it was all for good government (despite the fact that voter fraud is virtually nonexistent in Pennsylvania)?
Well, last weekend, House Majority Leader Mike Turzai finally confessed. While listing off the hyper-partisan goals the Republicans in Harrisburg have been able to check off their list this year, he included:
That's right. No more pretenses about stopping voter fraud. He got right to the point -- the Republicans have wasted this year in the legislature on bills that only serve to elect their fellow Republicans or help out their donors rather than focusing on the economy.
Will you contribute today to help us get out the necessary info so all Pennsylvania voters can vote this fall?Chairman Jim Burn was asked to join Chris Matthews on Hardball this week to discuss Rep. Turzai's comments, and I think he put it best. Click here to watch Chairman Burn's segment from MSNBC. But we need your help to get us to Election Day. Will you donate today to ensure we have the support we need so that every person will be able to exercise their right to vote in November? Click here to donate before the critical Saturday fundraising deadline. Chairman Burn got it right on Hardball: "We were prepared this year, like every year, to bring out the vote with a better ground game than our opponents." Please help us fuel that ground game and foil the Republicans' hyper-partisan plans. Click here to donate before tomorrow's deadline. You can also click here to volunteer to be a part of our ground game. Thanks for supporting our democracy, Mark Nicastre Communications Director P.S.
