Some things we could learn from Germany:
1. Strong labor unions with representation on corporate boards
2. 60 % of high school grads go into apprenticeship programs in which they are paid by the employers
3. Germany's biggest labor problem: too few skilled workers

Meanwhile, here in the United States:
1. We have gutted our unions while executive pay soars.
2. We send our students off to college, whether they belong there or not.
3. While in college our kids amass loan debt and do unpaid internships.
What is it we can't get through our heads?
