Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences seeks nominees for executive board

ACJS Call for Nominations for Executive Board

Fellow Member of ACJS:

The Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences is now soliciting nominations for five (5) Executive Board positions that will be filled by the election to be held in Fall 2012. The positions are Second Vice President (who will become our President in 2015), Secretary, Trustee-at-Large, Region One Trustee, and Region Five Trustee. All 2012 ACJS Regular members are eligible to run for office. To be eligible to run as a Regional Trustee, the person must work in that region and have been a member of the regional organization for at least one year.

Please review my letter and the Call for Nominations that immediately follows it for information about the positions, terms of office, and the procedure and forms for achieving candidacy by either nomination or petition. The letter and Call for Nominations can be viewed at: http://www.acjs.org/pubs/uploads/2012_ACJS_Executive_Board_Call_for_Nominations.pdf

Nominations must be postmarked by July 1, 2012 and petitions must be received no later than June 15, 2012.

The ACJS Executive Board is committed to selecting a strong and diverse slate of candidates. We need your participation in nominating worthy colleagues for candidacy. Thank you in advance for your consideration of this matter.

Sincerely,

Melissa Barlow, Chair
Nominations and Elections Committee
ACJS Immediate Past President
