Hypothesis:
America in the 21st Century is an Empire ruled by a plutocracy. The wealth gap is unbridgeable. The jobless recovery signals a paradigm shift driven by technology innovation.
What can we hang onto? Civli Rights and Civil Liberties. To do that, we need all the lawyers we can get.
