Mike Huckabee: Democrats Tell Women 'They Cannot Control Their Libido' Without The Government

Mike Huckabee is the reason I'm an EMILY's List member.

Well, Mike Huckabee and Todd Akin. Scott Walker and Mitch McConnell, too. Basically the entire GOP as it exists right now.

I don't care that Republicans keep saying these insane things, like that birth control coverage makes women "helpless and hopeless creatures." Most days I laugh about that. But what I do care about is that this isn't rhetoric. These guys actually believe the things they're saying, and they're actually legislating based on those beliefs.

I have to admit, Mike Huckabee got one thing right yesterday: "Women across America need to stand up and say, 'Enough of that nonsense.'"

This is why EMILY's List is here: to fight back against this kind of crap with all our might. Because that's what we do.  We recruit amazing women to run, we help them build their campaigns, we raise money for them, and most important: we help them win.
