I write this in Philadelphia, where the temperature is two degrees with a wind chill factor of minus 11.
Yes, indeed, this must be global warming in action.
Actually, lately, I've found that most of the global-warming folks are now referring to climate change instead, and warning of increasing weather extremes.
In fact, I don't necessarily disagree with them. However, I rank North America's opportunity to achieve energy independence by fully exploiting its fossil fuels above a quixotic, financially debilitating crusade to try to affect climate. I believe that it's "what will be, will be," and we need to consider the economic and national security benefits of energy independence.
