MOOCs for credits: An idea whose time has not yet come

As I reported here last year, students are not taking advantage of opportunities --- where they exist --- to convert
MOOCs
into
college credits
. The
American Council on Education
now has announced that its experimental effort in this direction has so far fizzled. The head of the effort claims lack of publicity.
