As the title suggests, "Ned McAdoo..." involves a fictionalized effort by my main characters, Attorneys Ned and Archie McAdoo, to prove the innocence of Black Jack Kehoe, alleged King of the Mollies. In reality, Kehoe was granted a pardon by the governor of Pennsylvania several decades ago. To enjoy my story, you may find it helpful to know a little more about the so-called Mollies and the long-standing controversy over whether they really existed or were concocted by the mine and railroad interests as an excuse to destroy the early labor movement in the hard-coal mines.
