If the debt ceiling is reached, can the Fed save the day?

Meanwhile, I think the GOP has reclaimed some of the higher ground by offering to talk other budget cuts --- in lieu of gutting Obamacare--- in return for raising the ceiling.  Obama, I think, will look bad, if he and friend Harry Reed don't go to the negotiating table now.
